Thillalangadi, the Tamil version of the Telugu film Kick, starring Tamannaah and Jayam Ravi in the lead, has found a fan in Bollywood producer Sajid Nadiadwala.Sajid, who’s produced films like Judwaa, Kambakkht Ishq, and Mujhse Shaadi Karogi with Salman Khan, is all set to cast him in the Hindi remake of Thillalangadi. Sources close to the producer say that Sajid saw both the Tamil and Telugu version and liked the script. He has decided to cast Salman in the lead and news is that Sonakshi Sinha, who’s playing the lead in Salman’s yet-to-release Dabangg, will be his co-star in the Hindi version of Kick.
There were reports that A R Murugadoss was supposed to direct the Hindi version of the film, but when contacted, he said, “No. I’m not doing the film.”
Well, looks like Kick is all set to make a mark in Bollywood now...
Kick Blockbuster director Surendra Reddy eventually launched a new movie with Ram -Genelia in the lead pair.Producer Sravanthi Ravikishore even held launch ceremony grand way few months ago. But Telugucinema.com learnt that, the film has been dropped off. Due to budget problems and creative differences between Surender Reddy and Sravanthi Ravikishore, the film has finally been put aside.Few days ago, Ram and Genny is the title also fixed but now the movie is not going to happen. Surender Reddy is planning a film with another big hero now. On other hand, Ram will move on to director Karunkarana’s movie.

Story
Set in the backdrop of Malaysia, Naina (Ileana) gets alliance of Kalyan Krishna (Shaam) from India. He is a cop who comes to Malaysia, meets Naina and she tells him her flashback about her boyfriend Kalyan (Ravi Teja).
Both of them get separated due to a small scuffle and meanwhile, Kalyan Krishna comes to Malaysia with the idea of finding a thief there. This thief has been stealing a lot of money and is escaping. Does Kalyan Krishna manage to catch the thief?

Performance
Ravi Teja was his energetic best and gave a good performance, Ileana was drop dead beautiful and she has really shown her oomph.
Brahmanandam was neat, Shaam looked competent and he has charming looks, Ashika can work on her figure a bit. The others like Chalapthi Rao, Banerjee, Prabha etc did their bit and contributed to the film.
The director has come up with a storyline that could have been stitched more tightly and though the presentation part was fine, the narrative could have been better. The dialogues were written neatly and they were fair, script was written without any hitches and screenplay was executed.
The background score was neat and songs like ‘ I Don’t Want Love…’ ‘Manase Thadisela…’’ are something worth humming and can be taken home. Cinematography was neat and it captured the foreign locales in a good manner, stunts were good at few places. Costumes were trend

Analysis:
The film flashes Arjun’s ‘Gentleman’ in the spirit. But this is dealt with more humor that suits the contemporary audiences. While Arjun’s role is replicated here with Ravi Teja, Charan Raj’s role is seen in new face Shyam who played cop.
The take off and first half of the movie are impressive. Although the tempo was lost especially in the beginning of second half, again it regained as action episodes enter the screen. Brahmanandam’s Halwa Raj episode keeps entertaining like that of his role in Krishna.
Songs are catchy for eyes but the orchestration dominated lyrics in many instances. Indeed, there are some haunting tunes from a couple of songs.
Ravi Teja’s energy is all pervaded in the movie and that’s the big saving grace for this flick to keep mass audiences glue on to their seats till the last.
As there are no big competitors for this film in coming few weeks, chances are bright for it to win at box office. But the budget incurred on the film is mammoth and it may be hard to meet that mark.

KICK film is produced by R.R.Movie Makers.Ravi Teja and Ileana starrer, KICK, had its music launch on Sunday night (April 19, 2009). The music launch ceremony was held at Taj Deccan in Hyderabad with several guests from Tollywood turning up. But heroine Ileana didn’t make it to the event. Hero Nitin, director V V Vinayk, veteran producer D Ramanaidu, actor Saikumar, director Meher Ramesh and others graced the ceremony. From the cast, hero Ravi Teja and second lead Shaam (Tamil hero) and the film’s director Surender Reddy and producer attended.
Ravi Teja is now acting in the film titled ‘Kick’. Ileana is the heroine. Tamil hero Shyam is playing a prominent role in the film. While shooting for a key action scene, Ravi Teja and Shyam were injured.The injuries were caused when a glass window pane was broken to pieces as part of an actions sequence. Some of the glass pieces flew into the air and hit both Ravi Teja and Shyam. Ravi Teja was lucky to escape with minor injuries. Shyam sustained some big injuries and is now being treated. Ravi Teja reported for shooting the next day.
