South Indian actors who enjoyed their prime status in 1980’s met at a special get together hosted by yesteryear’s glamourous actress Lissy (who acted as heroine in films opposite Suman like ‘ Atmabandhuvu’ ). The party was held on Sunday (August 29) night in Chennai and Chiranjeevi who is busy with politics in Andhra Pradesh specially flew down to attend this. Venkatesh who is shooting for Chandramukhi -2 in Bangalore also attended.

The guest list was pruned down to only heroes and heroines who had acted together during the 80’s. From Tamil filmdom, superstar Rajnikanth, Sharat Kumar, Arjun, Mohan, Karthik, Prabhu, Suhasini, Radhika, Poornima, Radha, Ambika and Nadiya attended. From Malayalam Mohan Lal and Shobhan were present while from Kannada industry, Sumalatha and Ambarish graced the occasion. From Telugu Chiru, Venky, Bhanuchandar, Naresh, Suresh and Suman were present.

Rajendra Prasad,Suhasini in the lead pair Upcoming flick ‘Bhale Mogudu Bhale Pellam’ has reached the final leg of shooting. Right now the post production works are going on at a fast pace. This Usha Charan Creations’ is taking shape in the hands of Dinesh Babu, who is also taking care of story, screenplay and cinematography. Jonnada Ramanamurthy is the producer.

Rajendra Prasad will be seen as Income-tax officer while Suhasini Maniratnam is essaying the role of his wife, a bank employee. The title itself indicates that it is a family entertainer with good comedy elements. Kaveri Jha and Sr Naresh are playing special roles. Dialogues are penned by Gangotri Vishwanath, script coordinator is Vemuri Satyanarayana, music is composed by E S Murthy, art by Murali and editing by Murali-Ramayya. To be presented by Jonnada Usha, ‘Bhale Mogudu Bhale Pellam’ is all set to release in September.

Rajendra Prasad and Suhasini are acting together for the first time in their careers as a couple. They are seen as husband and wife in a film titled Bhale Mogudu Bhale Pellam and is being directed by Kannada filmmaker Dinesh Babu. Senior producer Ramana Murthy is producing this film. It is a remake of the Kannada hit ‘Eradaneya Maduve’.The film has completed its entire shooting part and currently undergoing its dubbing and post production works at fast pace.
The director says that the film will be completely a family entertainer in which Rajendra Prasad plays an Income Tax officer and Suhasini plays Bank officer.

Other supporting actors in the film include Naresh, Raghubabu, Jhansi, Kaveri Jha, Harshavardhan, Rajitha, Shilpa etc.

Actress Suhasini Mani Ratnam, wife of director Mani Ratnam is turning out to be the surprise package for the people and media. Suhasini Mani Ratnam, who did several Southern films, must be fully aware of the media galore and their tricky questions. And sensing this, Suhasini Mani Ratnam was very smart in her movie.

During all the press conferences of the film Mani Ratnam directed ‘Villain’ and ‘Raavan’, Suhasini Mani Ratnam is saying that the entire cast of the film ‘Raavan’ would give separate interviews to the media and is asking them to remain quite during the press conferences. However, the situation is completely different after the press conference as the cast left through the back door. Huuuh!

Suhasini’s extra cautious attitude during the press meet of her hubby Manirathnam’s latest film, Villain (Telugu version of ‘Raavan’) and she controlling the questions angered the journalists. The press meet was held today (Monday, June 14, 2010) at a five star hotel, which was attended, by Aishwarya Rai, Vikram, Manirathnam and Suhasini. But Suhasini tried to control media men not to pose embarrassing questions. When a journalist asked why is that there is not a single Telugu star in the film while he brought in from Malayalam, Tamil and Hindi, when the movie is supposedly made in three languages, Suhasini made an helluva of flurry.
