Surya’s latest film ‘Yamudu’ directed by Hari and produced by K E Gnanavel Raja under Studio Green banner has successfully completed 50 days of its run in 58 centers.

On this occasion producer Gnanavel said, “Yamudu is Surya’s 25th film. We are happy that the film completed 50 days run in 58 centers. After ‘Ghajini’ this is Surya’s next big hit. The film gave good profits to us as well as the distributors. After ‘Yuganiki Okkadu’ and ‘Aawara’, ‘Yamudu’ became hit and made a hattrick for our bannerStudio Green. I thank the audience for making ‘Yamudu’ a big hit.”

Surya is now coming with yet another powerful film titled ‘Yamudu’. This film was a huge success in Tamil with the title ‘Singham’. T Gyanavel Raja, who produced the film under Studio Green banner says, “While Rajinikanth’s ‘Shivaji’ collected Rs 100 crores, I’m very happy to announce that Surya’s ‘Singham’ collected about Rs 85 crores and created ripples at the Tamil Nadu box office. Hence I am expecting it to become a very big hit in Telugu as well. Devisri Prasad’s music is the special attraction. Director Hari, who directed ‘Saami’, the original version of Balayya Babu’s ‘Lakshmi Narasimha’ is the director of ‘Yamudu’. I wish ‘Yamudu’ will be as big hit as Surya’s ‘Ghajini’ in Andhra Pradesh.”

With Anushka as his lady love, Surya is playing a sincere police officer, while Prakash Raj will be seen in a negative role.

Tamil film of Surya to be dubbed into Telugu is ‘Singam’ with the Telugu title ‘Yamudu’. Directed by Hari (director of Sami, Aaru, Vel), ‘Singam’ features Anushka opposite Surya. While Surya plays the role of a police officer, Anushka will be seen in a glamour role. The film has required elements like action, entertainment, punch dialogues, etc., to entertain the mass as well as the class audience. The film is likely to release soon.
