On Sunday mid night, actresses Saira Banu and Jyothi indulging in prostitution at Kundhan Bhag area were caught red handed by the Hyderabad police. On receiving the information, the police reached the apartment and arrested the two along with seven others including a citizen from Ubekisthan. The important point to be noted is that this apartment is closer to the ministers’ residences. It’s learnt that four male organizers and a female organizer are running this brothel house.

Kota Srinivasa Rao’s son Kota Venkata Sai Prasad (39) passed away on June 20th, 2010 in a road accident near the Hyderabad Airport.

Kota Srinivasa Rao has acted in Tamil films Thiruppachi, Saamy, Chinna, Kutthu etc.

According to the information, Prasad was going to Shamshabad airport, Andhra Pradesh on his motor bike, when a DCM Toyota car hit his bike at Narsing near the AP Police Academy. Prasad was rushed to the nearby Olive hospital, where he died. Prasad is survived by his wife and two children. Source:KC

So by evening, producer Dil Raju made an urgent announcement that his film, Rama Rama Krishna Krishna is postponed to May 12th. The film was supposed to hit the screens on May 7th and Dil Raju even officially announced that date two days ago. But on Friday evening, he announced that D.I work is taking time, so they have decided to postpone it to May 12th. Kollywood actress Ranjitha, who was absconding from police since last few days, finally broke her silence by serving lawyer notices to world famous search engine ‘Google’ and ‘YouTube’ demanding to withdraw the video clippings from their web sites before May2nd, failing which she is obliged to file civil and criminal cases against them.

Her lawyer M. Prashanth stated that the video footage of his client and the Nityananda is not genuine. He said either its morphed or edited by an expert. Ranjitha is not a devotee of Nityananda, but occasionally she used to visit his ashram to hear his preaching. He said that she never happen to spend her time there for a long as she is a busy actress. Ranjitha’s lawyer asked Google and You Tube to withdraw the video footage from their sites in the given time, otherwise suggested them to prepare to face civil and criminal cases.

If, one could recall her statements given to media, in which she agreed her presence in the video and said that she is massaging the Swamiji, then it would be funny to know that she has served lawyer notice to the web sites. If, she is sure that she is not in the video clippings then why is she asking to remove them from the web sites? If, she believes that video clipping is not genuine, then why should she bother about the video clippings that are not concerned to her any way? If, she is not guilty then why is she hiding from the public and police? Why is she serving lawyer notices to web sites?

On a day when the Supreme Court quashed all the 23 cases against her for her interview to a magazine on pre-marital sex, Kushboo said she would not hesitate to accept a political platform if offered.

“I am a great fan of the Congress and I would like to join the party,” the actress, who was holidaying in London with her family, said. When asked whether she had got any feelers from the national party, she said, “I don’t want to tell anything now. I’ll be back in Chennai in a few days to take further decisions.”

Expressing happiness over the apex court’s verdict, Kushboo said, “Ours is a democratic country which guarantees freedom of speech. This has once again been proved now. I am extremely happy. If you are confident, justice will be delivered.”

A R Rahman will be embarking on a ‘Jai Ho’ concert worldwide tour from June this year. The "A R Rahman Jai Ho Concert: The Journey Home World Tour" kicks off on June 11 at the Nassau Coliseum in New York and will extent to over 16 major cities worldwide.

For this world tour A R Rahman will be collaborating with choreographer-director Amy Tinkham, who has created stage shows for the likes of Paul McCartney, Madonna, Britney Spears, Dixie Chicks, Motley Crue, etc. The concerts are said to include spectacular special effects and global cast of dancers and musicians inspired by his native India. It is termed as a “virtual journey through beauty, culture, and spirituality”.

The concerts will include songs from 'Slumdog Millionaire' as well as the Indian films 'Lagaan', 'Jaane Tu Ya Jaane Na', 'Dil Se', 'Rang De Basanti', 'Roja' and others.

Director Sekhar Kammula has taken a media plunge saying that the fourth estate has disappointed him on latest release 'Leader'.

“I have made an honest attempt to show the people the ideal qualities of a good leader. But, media gauged my film like any other film. Instead of spreading the good concept about the film, the media had analyzed about the romance between the hero and heroines and some other technical aspects of the film.

If a film like ‘Leader’ which attempts to educate the people were not encouraged, probably no one in future will come forward to make such films,” laments Sekhar Kammula.

Siddharth has signed a new bilingual film which will be made in Tamil and Telugu. It has been titled ‘Putham Pudhu Kaalai‘ in Tamil and the Telugu title is yet to be confirmed. Jayendra, an Ad film maker, is going to direct this film. And it is being produced by Kiran Reddy of ‘Sathyam Cinemas’ and C. Srikanth of ‘Aghal Films’. KT Balasubramaniem is the cinematographer and the film will be shot on RED One camera. Around 70% of the film will be shot in USA and Malayasia. All the exterior part of the shooting will be set in USA whereas the interior parts will be shot in Malaysia. The film is expected to go on floors in June immediately after Siddharth wraps up his part in Prakash Rao’s fantasy film.

The buzz is that the film makers are keen on signing Samantha as one of the lead actresses in the film. The discussions are going on; however, Samantha has turned into a busy bee ever since ‘Ye Maya Chesave’ released. She has also signed Mahesh-Srinu Vytla’s new film which is expected to start in June. Priya Anand is the other heroine in the film.

Srikanth was injured today on the sets of his current film. He was immediately rushed to KVR hospital in Film nagar, Hyderabad. His condition is said to be stable. Srikanth was shooting for 'Ranga The Donga', directed by GV and produced by CR Manohar Naidu and GV himself under the joint banner of Golden Lions Films and God Father Films with Srikanth and Vimala Raman in the lead is progressing well in and around Hyderabad.

In this movie Venky is romancing with five heroines. Anushka is playing the main lead role and Kamilinee Mukherjee, Shradda Das, Richa Gangopadyaay and Poonam Kaur are the other heroines as per the sources. As per the sources the film title has been changed from Chndramukhi 2 to Nagamalli. P Vasu directs the film and Bellamkonda Suresh is producing the film. Five heroines are acting opposite to Venkatesh.
