Producer Dil Raju today (September 4, 2009) announced that Josh would be hitting the screens on Sept 5th all over the world. “Josh was to release on Sep 3rd but a day before the release CM’s copter went missing and everyone was in panic mood, so we cancelled the release. Later as our dear leader Chief Minister YS Rajashekar Reddy passed away, we planned to release it next week. But we are in tricky situations. As we have already sent the prints of the movie to all the overseas destinations and distributors booked the theatres and sold the tickets off for this weekend, we cannot hold the release date. If we do so, pirated Cds and Dvds would hit the market. Hence we decided to release it tomorrow (Sep 5th) world wide,” Dil Raju told the media. When asked about the possibility of low-turn of openings in the prevailing mood in state, he said: “Yes, we know. Openings are likely to be affected but I believe good movie would eventually succeed. Audience might miss today but they would definitely flock the theatres next day. We are pretty confident of the film’s success. Especially Naga Chaitanya’s debut is creating lot of curiosity among the audiences.”
